Netco Search:
We do not keep any emails that are processed here.. We loathe spam as much as you.
To maximise the difficulty of undoing it all, each letter is randomly changed into either decimal or hexadecimal notation, so the same email address will have hundreds of different possible results.
Talk to us about obfuscating all e-mail tags on your Web site.
Having your email address on your website is good right? You want people to contact you, so pop it up there with your address and phone number.
The only problem is, the web is full of clever people who trawl it for such contact pages and record every email address they come across. Luckily Netco also has some clever people in its team, who have come up with a way to stop the spammers in their tracks.
The fool-proof method is to have a form on your contact page that emails you directly. This method casts the net a bit wide, stopping spammers but also dening your customers of a contact address.
The next best thing is to display your email address in a language only a browser will understand - decimal and hexadecimal character codes.
In character codes, even the simplest text is transformed into a slew of incomprehensible numbers and symbols. For example,
looks odd, but translates to the classic 'I can smell the uranium on it from here'.
