Netco Search:
No matter how clever the backend of your site or fantastic your information, goods or services, it's the design that smacks your visitors in the face.
They gain a first impression of you according to how good, or bad, your site looks.
Netco works with professional Web designers to enhance your organisation's Web presence.
Computer screens are stretchy things - a property that really throws designers who've previously worked only on print. When they design for an A4 or A3 page designers know the dimensions exactly and draw up accordingly. Computer screens, however, resolve to an infinite number of sizes depending on the monitor and how the visitor likes his screen dimensions.
That's why we design solely for the screen.
The width and height is measured in lighted dots on the screen - pixels. Users can stretch their browser window to any width they like but standard resolutions are:
Monitors (and a video card capable of pumping out this resolution) go up to 2,000 pixels wide but discount these - they're for 15 year old kids with perfect eyesite and rich daddies.
So, in consultation with your designer do you get him to lay the site out for 1024 pixels, 800 or 600?. What's the difference? Should it be fixed width or should it expand as the screen resolution increases so it stretches to the border on all size screens?
Ask us, it's best to decide on a case by case basis..
